Saturday morning, we paid a quick visit to the Hawaiian International Market to get some gifts for friends and family. They had a lot of really neat, hand made gifts as well as many touristy trinkets. The market seemed to go on forever with hundreds of vendors and shops.
Saturday afternoon Brad participated in the Mountain Man Triathlon at the Kualoa Ranch on the north shore. He first swam 750 meters in the open ocean, then biked 20K (12.4 miles) through some extremely "hilly" trails, and then finished it up with a 6K (3.7 mile) trail run. They don't call it the Mountain Man (women participated too!) for nothing! This triathlon went through some VERY rugged and mountainous terrain. Brad accomplished his two goals: 1) finish and 2) not be last!
Trying Lau Lau was on Adam's short list of things to do in Hawaii and time was of the essence! On the way home, we stopped for some of this authentic Hawaiian Cuisine from a food truck. This traditional Hawaiian barbeque is made by wrapping pork in a taro leaf and then roasting it for several hours. Despite what it looks like, it was quite tasty!
