Hiking and things

Last Saturday, Adam and I took the dogs for their annual appointments at Bonnie Brae - love that place!  Afterwards we took the dogs for a hike up in the Lake Lure area. I have always loved the area and it's especially special to us since that's where we got married!

We snapped some photos of where we said our vows nearly three years ago.  Then we headed to the top of chimney rock. The elevator was broken, which was really amusing to me. I wouldn't have used it anyway, but lots of people seemed to be put out by this. 

I've been advised to make some girl friends here, so I went on a meet-up hiking event with some girls in town last weekend.  We ended up going on an 11 mile hike around the dismal trail at Caeser's Head.  Easy, it was not!  It was a good hike and I did enjoy meeting some new folks.
